I got this because the ice maker in my fridge went out during the pandemic. Clearly I'm not having a service person in to fix it now, so this is the substitute. This unit does a good job of quickly producing ice in reasonable volume. In a couple hours I can refill the bin in my freezer and it lasts me two days. I learned a few things in the reviews here that were very helpful. First, start with cold water. I use water from my fridge. Second, the ice is soft when it's first produced. It needs to go in the freezer for 30 minutes or so to fully set. Third, play with the time for each batch. The documentation sucks, but basically if you hit "+" it adds a minute to the cycles. The default cycle made cubes that were a bit hollow in my climate. After a little experimentation mine works best at +4 minutes. Last, if the unit gets too warm it'll make crappy ice. There's a thermostat reading on the display at the beginning of each cycle. Watch it. If it climbs too high find a spot with more ventilation.

After more than a year of dealing with a horrible ice maker in my refrigerator, I was fed up with the constant need to de-ice and wait forever for just a few cubes. When I started my research for a portable ice cube maker, I knew I wanted an actual cube shape, rather than bullet or pebble. Am I the only one who loves the square cubes you get in most restaurants? Not wanting one more thing on my kitchen counter, I originally thought I would keep it in my basement so I wasn't overly concerned about the size. Turns out, I don't mind it in the kitchen, but I do wish it was slightly smaller in form factor. However, I'm willing to sacrifice that for the performance factor and ease of filling (it's right next to my filtered water). Please note that my review is based on about a month's worth of use. I use filtered water, which produced a semi-clear cube for me (I live in WI and must use a water softener), that is far superior to the super cloudy ice produced by my refrigerator (both my current one and previous one). In my ice-making tests, I prefer to add 4 minutes to the cube-making process to create a thick cube. I do have to break up the ice before storing in my freezer. It's a minor thing for me and actually serves as a slight stress release. I use the included scooper to break things up. Since the weather has warmed up, we're going through a lot more ice (hello ice tea!) so I run it every 3 days or so. I tend to set my watch timer for 30-60 minutes so I don't forget to remove the ice for storage. While it sounds like a lot of monitoring, it's really not a big deal if I'm already going to be home. After each use, I wipe down the machine and drain the reservoir about every 2 uses. While bulky, it's light enough for me to bring it to the sink to do so. Because I have harder water, I also wipe it down with vinegar to remove any buildup. All the effort it worth it to me. The machine makes a lot of ice, the shape is great, it does not melt very quickly, and the cubes look fantastic in a cocktail! :) Hoping this thing has some longevity, but so far, so good.

We love this ice maker for our RV. Makes perfect ice. I was amazed at how quiet this was when making ice. The timer function is a nice touch so you can have it run for a few batches and stop. Makes ice every 20-25 minutes.

This ice machine was bought to replace the broken one in the fridge because with the pandemic I don’t want strangers entering my home to fix just yet. I was not disappointed this machine produces a tray of ice every few minutes and before you know it you have more ice on reserve than you can use and that’s a good thing. Very satisfied with this purchase and can recommend to anyone!

I went through two of the cheaper ice makers, Igloo included that make the little round ones with the holes in them. They are small capacity and don't hold the ice, they melt away really fast both in your drinks and in the unit. This style is different, it makes solid cubes without holes in them so they last longer and they come off in big sheets, again they last longer if you only break them up as much as you need to fit in your glass. Plus has a cycle temperature adjustment to increase freezing time, again they last longer this way. Pretty good capacity and fairly easy to clean. Strongly recommend using distilled water in it unless you like cleaning mineral deposits all the time but that's with any of them. Spend a little more on one of these and you be happy you did instead of frustrated and mad at the other ones that suck.

This little machine makes a lot of ice! I've been putting the basket of ice it makes into the freezer, and the machine can keep up with as much ice as I need or more. The machine itself does not hold a lot of ice, but it will make as much ice as you need. The ice cubes are clear, and the process is fun to watch. well worth the price.

Had an issue when we received the product and contacted the seller. They were very responsive and helpful. This ice make does make quite a bit of ice, and it is hard ice. I would recommend.

Produces a lot of ice and fast. The ice comes out in a solid sheet which I knew was going to happen from reading previous reviews so this was not a shock. I just break it up periodically so no big deal. Overall I’m pleased with my purchase.

The ice maker works really well. It is fairly simple to figure out. Directions are vague about the fiters. Search Youtube and a quick short video describes where they are at.

I purchased this as a gift so I can't comment on performance. The person who received it is happy with it. I can comment on the Company, they are very responsive to questions and anxious to see that you are satisfied with their product.
