This machine works really well and lasts. My son is now 2 and we have been using one nightly starting day 1 and it still works fine. Since his birth we have purchased an additional one for his baby sister's room and we have one running in the bathroom between the 2 kid's rooms. They work really well at drowning out the noise of a crying sibling.

This sound machine works great for our baby. We have a small house and needed something that could dull household noise while our baby slept. It also helped him sleep better. Plus listening to it on the monitor doesn't drive me crazy as there are no chirping birds, waves, or other distracting noises.

This was exactly what I was looking for! We were using a cool mist humidifier in our son's room for background noise and it got to the point that i would get all moldy and gross. I have always needed a fan to create that "white noise" when sleeping, but it drove my husband crazy, my allergies were worse from the constant blowing air and I was always dragging a fan w/us if we went anywhere.This product sounds just like a fan and I actually sleep better with it. My husband and I slept all winter with a humidifier in our bedroom and the quiet noise helped us sleep. When it was time to put the humidifier away because spring was here, we couldn't sleep. My wife bought me this thing as a gift, and I thought I'd never use it. But I take it with me, now, on all my out-of-town trips where I'll be staying in a hotel room. It drowns out all the hall noise and any other noise you need it to block out. We just recently took a trip where our hotel room was backed up against I-4 in Orlando. It didn't block out all the expressway noise, but it did well enough that we were able to sleep just fine. It also helps when it is too quiet. I highly recommend this product. It is adjustable so that you can select the right amount of white noise for the situation.
