The belt was a bit different than expected since the product description sucks. I purchased the product hoping for 3 things: precise adjustment, comfort when bending, and quick release. It delivers on precise adjustment, it's fairly comfortable but has no "give" at all, and once installed it easy to lock, quick to release with a single button push and good quality materials and workmanship. Both ends of the 2-piece buckle are the same width and wider than many belt loops on my pants. This requires one buckle end to be removed to thread the belt on or off which is annoying. The belt must then be re-threaded and adjusted in the removable end with each use; as a senior these tasks which used to be easy are now more difficult as my hand dexterity deteriorates. This is the reason I say that you must commit - in my case I chose one pair of shorts and one pair of jeans to install these belts (more or less) permanently including washing.
