Dollar for dollar this is a far better pot that people give it credit for. Better than a Lecreuset - very easy cleanup and even cooking. I've used this 6 times since the purchase for gumbo, stews and Spagetti gravy. I'd definitely buy a second if needed. Highly recommend.
I have wanted a large cast iron enamel dutch oven for awhile now. I looked at all the brands. And of course I considered Le Creuset but I just could not justify the price. Target had this one on sale and I went ahead and took the plunge. I cannot comment on the long lasting durability of this dutch oven since I have only owned it one week but so far it is great! I cooked a big batch of chili in it this past week and it performed wonderfully. I do want readers to know that this dutch oven is heavy. It is about 20 lbs empty so keep this in mind. You can expect this from any brand of dutch oven of this size. It is cast iron after all. I arrived beautifully built with no scratches, dents or flaws in the enamel. I am very pleased with my purchase!
