The noise was absolutely nonexistent. I love the design to set up the components and how it teaches kids learning about how rocks can change. I will definitely buy again, which I did. I bought two more.
I really enjoyed the FAO Schwarz Toy Kids Rock Tumbler set. It’s a fun and educational activity that keeps kids engaged while teaching patience and basic science. The tumbler works well, the pieces are good quality, and everything was easy to assemble. It runs smoothly and delivers great results over time. My 7 year old is obsessed with gems and rocks. We gave this to him for Christmas and he was so excited! Its relatively simple...a canister that rolls in a tray. I just had no idea the process was so long! It take several days. The tumbler has buttons with timers based on days. This thing is meant to run and run. Its a little loud. We keep ours in the garage. It is definitely a process and take a while to get the final product. Definitely needs adult supervision. We have enjoyed experimenting with the rocks that came with the kit and also some We had previously. The kit comes with everything you need. Definitely need to read the instructions to know how it works as far as the polishing compounds to use and how many days. Great gift!

This is quite heavy duty. Not only that, it is super well-made. My kiddos were so excited to do it with me. We collected some stones outside, and brought them home. Then we set it up, which wasn’t too hard, and followed the instructions. What came out was legit incredible and it was so cool. Excellent family time.
